An Intimate Summer Milton Keynes Wedding Photography at The Betsey Wynne in Swanbourne

The Venue

This charming wedding venue is situated in the picturesque village of Swanbourne, just a short drive from Milton Keynes. The Betsey Wynne is a beautifully restored 18th-century pub that offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance for couples looking to get married, and it was a fantastic choice for Megan & Andrew wedding settings.

This Milton Keynes wedding venue can accommodate up to 120 guests for a seated reception and features a stunning garden area ideal for photographs; we use these grounds for formal portraits and a family photograph of Megan and Andrew.

Meanwhile, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for Amy and Machile’s special day. Consequently, the sunlight bathed the surrounding countryside in a warm glow for a whole day, creating a magical atmosphere for the newlyweds.

Subsequently, I managed to employ this during a mini session in nearby woodland, which provided a perfect background for unique portraits. As a result, as a documentary-style photographer, Emotional Wedding Photography always captures candid moments and laughter of the couples while directing them at ease.

Info for Photographers

The wedding venue had spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows, which provided a lot of sunlight, even a bit too much. Hence, the solution was to compensate the natural light coming through the windows from two sides with the flashes.

The look was achieved by placing two flashes around the couple, the first AD100 90 degrees from the couple on the right and the second flash AD200 behind the couple and guests.

This setup was great; I was exposed to exterior greenery and added light from flashes to create an atmosphere inside the venue.

The Couple

Megan & Andrew were a fantastic couple to work with, spend 6 hours with, and photograph. They were very laid back and allowed me the freedom to capture the emotions as I see them through in a documentary wedding photography style.

For the first time as a Milton Keynes wedding photographer, I felt at ease. It is wonderful to have clients who want to allow me to work at my best and photograph them, from the nervous anticipation before the ceremony to the joyous celebrations afterward, and their guests, and their unique moments, and conversations, and smiles.

360 Video Coverage

Megan told me before the wedding that they don’t plan to employ a videographer. I immediately proposed that I be happy to record their ceremony on the camera as a backstage addition to my wedding photography work.

That is a really interesting addition to the variety of my wedding photography and fashion photography gear. The couple is happy as they have 20-minute footage of their ceremony that lasts a lifetime!
